About Athletic Coach

Billy Granville is the owner of Athletic Coach, a recruiting service designed to help high school athletes navigate the recruiting process and get real exposure.


Granville played college football at Duke University where he was honored as a Captain and team MVP. He also earned All-ACC honors as a linebacker and finished his Duke career with 374 total tackles, ranking him in the top 10 all-time tackle leaders at Duke.


After his college career, Billy enjoyed a successful 5-year career in the NFL.


Granville is the father of Penn State Edge Rusher, Max Granville, who was a Rivals & ESPN 4-Star recruit in high school.

Athletic Coach is completely different from other recruiting services. We take a personalized, hands-on approach to the recruiting process. Our 5-Star Recruiting package is unmatched in how we create exposure for recruits through customized marketing videos (interviews & film studies), AND how we leverage our network of college coaches and scouts to promote our recruits.

For athletes who are being actively recruited by multiple Power 4 programs, Athletic Coach can be of great value. One of the biggest mistakes that recruits can make in the recruiting process is choosing the ‘BIGGEST’ offer over the ‘BEST’ offer. We can help recruits and parents take emotion out of the process and determine which programs are the ‘BEST’ offers (best fits) based on the recruit’s specific situation and goals.
