About Athletic Coach

Billy Granville, Owner of Athletic Coach

Billy earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University where he was honored as a Captain and team MVP his senior season. Granville also earned All-ACC honors as a linebacker and finished his Duke career with 374 total tackles, which ranks him in the top 10 all time for tackle leaders at Duke.


After his college career, Billy enjoyed a successful 5-year career in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals and Houston Texans.


Granville is the father of two sons who earned D1 scholarships (Zion and Max).

Our Mission

Athletic Coach exists to provide Recruits & Parents with the resources needed to achieve success in the college recruiting process.

  • The recruiting process is difficult to navigate on one’s own

Athletic Coach is completely different from other recruiting services. We take a personalized, hands-on approach to the recruiting process. We have direct, ongoing communication with our recruits & parents. We take time to understand their specific situation & goals. And, then we help them to create and implement a Plan to accomplish their goals.

For athletes who are being actively recruited by multiple Division 1 programs, an Athletic Coach can be of great value. One of the biggest mistakes that recruits can make in the recruiting process is choosing the ‘BIGGEST’ Offer over the ‘BEST’ Offer. We can help recruits and parents take emotion out of the process and determine which programs are the ‘BEST’ offers (best fits) based on the recruit’s specific situation & goals.

  • There are no gimmicks and overnight success in the recruiting process. In order to achieve success in the recruiting process. It’s crucial that recruits and parents are committed to executing a LONG-TERM plan for success.  
  • The Athletic Coach Program is a one-year membership.
